With the current COVID-19 health crisis impacting many of the Red Hook residents, Redemption Church has actively become engaged in meeting the needs of many families. As a church, we are looking to form two teams that will help coordinate efforts to help the most vulnerable families in our community. We are committed to doing so through local partnerships with community leaders, local organizations and our local officials.
We are aware of the ever-changing nature of our local regulations and are working with our local leadership to ensure all we do is done within the recommended guidelines to best serve our community. We also recognize that this could change at any point, but we are committed to serving our community as long as we are able to do so as we practice social distancing and other measures to ensure the safety of our volunteers and the families we are serving.
Here are two ways our church is seeking to support relief efforts:
Focused on ways you can help from your own home through regular phone calls during this time to families who are most at-risk. This includes check-in, assessments, and encouragement & prayer.
Focused on mobilizing efforts to help those in our community that are in need. This could include grocery runs, local food distribution and delivery. You must be in good health, under the age of 60, and without any pre-existing health conditions.
WHEN YOU GIVE TO THE WORK OF REDEMPTION CHURCH, YOU ALLOW US TO CONTINUE TO GIVE AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY OF RED HOOK.
WE BELIEVE THAT WHEN YOU GIVE, YOU ARE NOT GIVING TO AN ORGaNIZATION, YOU ARE GIVING AS AN ACT OF WORSHIP TO GOD. JOIN US IN THE RENEWAL OF RED HOOK.
